A Christmas to Remember: Finding Happiness in Togetherness

Christmas vacation is a long-waited time for many people, It is the time to most spending time with family, friends, and loved person. My Christmas vacation was nothing short of magical. A whirlwind of festive chaos, endless laughter, and way too many sugary treats! It was a very joyful and relaxing time; with the ideal blend of quality time, and moments of personal reflection. I also took this as an opportunity to unwind, engage in hobbies, and create memorable experiences with loved ones. It was a refreshing break that left me feeling recharged and grateful.

December 24, 2024. Everyone’s busy preparing for the “noche buena” it become a tradition filled with warmth, love, and the delicious aroma of food. The kitchen becomes alive with the hustle and bustle of family members working together to create a feast fit for the special night. Jamon, lumpiang Shanghai, and pancit take center stage. Delightful desserts, macaroni salad, and bibingka bring sweetness to the celebration. Although it feels incomplete to celebrate, we still manage to celebrate it with joy. My parents separated a few years ago. Both of them are living in Spain, my father has his own family now, while my mom also has a partner to spend with. Whereas I’m, taking care of my mother’s older sister. Well, it’s kinda crestfallen to think about it, but we still manage to fulfill it beyond feeling empty.  It feels good to see them smiling that day despite encountering problems and a busy schedule. And to more great and happiness, we go out to some places that lot of glimmering Christmas light that your two eyes sparkle, and also have a Christmas tree that you will look up highest.

But the most Important of how I spending my christmas/vacation is to my self, to enjoy every moment and to relax after the stress and to thank God everyday to all blessings he gave.

My Christmas vacation was a heartwarming experience filled with joy, reflection, and meaningful moments despite the challenges my family has faced. The festive spirit, delicious food, and quality time with loved ones made the celebration unforgettable. Though my parents' separation brought a sense of sadness, I found comfort in sharing the holiday with my mother's sister, cherishing the smiles and laughter that filled our home. Visiting places adorned with twinkling Christmas lights and towering trees added more magic to the season. This holiday reminded me that true happiness doesn't come from perfection but rather in finding happiness in togetherness and making memories that will last a lifetime with those whom we care for.
